Reset Graphics & Advanced Graphics in FiveM
Increase Extended Texture Budget in FiveM options.
Turn down MSAA and Reflection MSAA.
Lower Shadow Quality and Grass Quality.
Experiment with Fullscreen Exclusive / Fullscreen / Windowed modes.
Enable Ignore Suggested Limits in FiveM graphics settings.
Turn all the way down both Population lines to zero.
Ensure you have at least 200GB free drive space.
Disable apps from running in the background Windows Settings App > Search Bar > Installed Apps. Be Careful when doing this ensure you allow your important apps to run in the background.
Game Mode: This is a hit or miss everyone's pc responds differently turn on/off if needed. Windows Settings App > Search Bar > Game Mode
Increase Virtual RAM (PageFile):
Go to Start > Adjust Performance of Windows > Advanced > Change.
Uncheck Automatic Managing.
Select Drive C: → Set Initial Size = RAM x 1.5 (e.g., 24,576MB for 16GB). (Adjust these numbers based on your amount of ram)
Set Maximum Size = RAM x 3 (e.g., 49,152MB for 16GB). (Adjust these numbers based on your amount of ram)
Apply and Restart.
Open PowerShell → Paste:
powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
Go to Start > Power Settings and select Ultimate Performance Mode.
Disable Intel SpeedStep / C-States in BIOS if stutters occur.
Keep drivers updated via Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
Ensure DOCP/XMP Profile is enabled in BIOS for correct RAM speed.
Install the latest AMD Chipset Drivers (includes Ryzen Balanced/Performance plans).
Use Ryzen High Performance Plan or Ultimate Performance Mode (see Intel steps above).
Disable Core Parking using Ryzen Master or Windows Power Options.
Ensure DOCP/XMP Profile is enabled in BIOS for correct RAM speed.
Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings.
Set Shader Cache Size → Increased.
Set Power Management Mode → Prefer Maximum Performance.
Clear Shader Cache (common fix for stutter).
Automatic Tuning: Open Nvidia App > System > Performance > Turn on Automatic Tuning.
Open Radeon Settings → Performance → Graphics.
Clear Shader Cache (less common but can help).
Set Texture Filtering → Performance.
Set Power Tuning → Enabled for stable clocks.
Right-click FiveM → Open File Location.
Open FiveM Application Data > data.
Delete:
cache
server-cache
server-cache-private
This does not reset your settings.
When rejoining, allow FiveM to re-download assets. Stand in an area, spin in a circle slowly, and let everything load in. After a few sessions, performance stabilizes.
Delete content_index.xml from your FiveM folder.
Download Quick CPU to automatically clear RAM in real time. (Scroll down until you see blue download button or release history then download the latest version.)
This prevents stuttering during long play sessions.
